This game is more relevant due to the inherent sub-culture of YouTube Poop comedic videos that originated when this game was played as a videogame series (it is generally assumed by Canadian\Quebec players). The idea at first was splicing dialog between cutscenes to create commedy. Later, circa late 2000s, more sophisticated efforts emerged, usually involving paint, photoshop, and interpolation of other audio/video sources, usually Hotel Mario cutscenes and other meme movies.
Some of the most famous of such videos were the "Weegee" video (in which the Hotel Mario version of Luigi turns evil and is capable of turning other charatcers into a copy of his own), the video of the King threathening to crucify Link (ending with an epic jetpack chase with Gwonam\Squadallah), the "accidental hotel mario", and of course the old video series by authors of the likes of "Iamthegang" and "WalrusGuy".
honestly its kinda strange how like, ive youve seen the cutscenes youve basically seen the whole game. like youre missing literally nothing sometimes it feels like the gap between cutscenes are as long as in the "all cutscenes" videos its far from a full game unlike something like hotel mario which is almost too long
Kind of funny that the guy who made the remaster took it down to avoid a DMCA when Nintendo has gone so far out of their way to avoid any association with these games, I guarantee they wouldn't have DMCA'd him
