This game has some cool ideas that weren't fleshed out enough to truly take advantage of the concept. The ability to level up in a beat-em-up is cool, but I hardly ever noticed it. Your stats increase automatically, which I rarely notice, and you don't get to make any decisions as to how your character improves. It would have been cool if you had the ability to unlock different abilities or something. As it stands, the feature is an inoffensive novelty that doesn't impact game play much.
Besides that, it's a pretty standard beat em up. The blocking feature is nice, but I don't feel like this game really has enough of a hook to sell you if you're not a fan of the genre already. If you do like beat em ups or the Super Nintendo in general, I'd give this one a go.

Linking When you mention an album, artist, film, game, label, etc - it's recommended to link to the item the first time you mention it. Doing so will make it easier to search for your post and give it more visibility. To link an item, use the search box above, or find the shortcut that appears on the page that you want to link. You can customize the link name of shortcuts by using the format [Artist12345,Custom Name].

The simple fact that this game has a block command, particularly one that requires skill and isn't just mapped to a button you can hold, puts it head and shoulders over a lot of other beat-em-ups for me.
