Finally got this game a week ago and i'm honestly just overjoyed. Being able to play Klonoa 2 after not being able to emulate it (and not having a PS2 anymore) has been great and I can tell that they put a lot of love into it despite the visual differences.
I'm a little unsure about Door to Phantomile however. Hard difficulty is neat but it feels a lot more janky and weird than the original, couldn't really explain why though... Not to mention it's very weird that it only has mono sound for some bizarre reason lol
(still a good remake however, ending still made me teary eyed even if the cutscenes are not as good as the PS1 version)
I've never played the original emulated on PS1 just last year and tried to play the demo of this version and it just doesn't feel as good for some reason. I've never owned a PlayStation so I don't even think it is nostalgia kicking in.
the level design is just absolutely mind boggling for the time that they were originally created however 6-2 has the biggest fucking difficulty spike and i almost threw my controller lol
I get that the original games are classics but am I the only one thinking that gameplay-wise this remake is... a mess? Not to disrespect or anything since I haven't played the originals but I think it's a bit boring and tedious, I'm in 6-2 (first game) and I'm considering abandoning it

I wish the cutscenes and the dialogues were a little more polished,
they didn't do very much with them, it's very raw.
