I don't know why you're reading this, it's Kirby. Just go play it.
In short: lovely visuals, lovely music, up to 4 players can play as either Kirby or Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, or King Dedede, a solid amount of collectibles and extra modes without a single cryptic way to find them, and some okay level design and passable bosses. There some interesting new power-ups, too: Leaf, which is basically just the Leaf Shield from Mega Man; Water, which is just Fire but it can cool off lava blocks; Whip, which can be used to grab items from behind walls like Yoshi's tongue in SMW; and Spear, easily the best powerup in the entire game that gives you a super long attack range and some projectile and defense options when you charge up the attack button.
There are some level gimmicks with the super power ups and the dimensional seams where you play though black-and-white challenge rooms, adding some actual difficulty to the otherwise extremely straightforward base game experience. Outside of the disappointing boss fights, many of which are "Doomers" that have very little explanation for their existence and fight very similarly to one another, it's still a Kirby game, and that makes it recommendable to mostly everybody. It's low barrier of entry to play and fun power variety (especially with the non-Kirby characters) puts this on the higher end of Kirby titles, despite the lower difficulty.

If it weren't for the sheer quality and variety present in Super Star/Ultra, this would probably be the definitive Kirby game. Those challenge stages are one of the best things ever added to the series.
