Hiveswap is based on the web-comic Homestuck which I've never read, but I don't think it's necessary to have done so as the story and the humor is fairly easy to get. The game is highly reminiscent of Lucasarts adventure games, especially the very colorful Day of the Tentacle. The gameplay is very classic adventure too, where you point items to look at them or pick up the few ones and you need to figure out on which objects to use them. It's not a game that will revolutionize the adventure genre, but it's got such a nice art style that you easily get drawn into its world. Only Act 1 has been released so far (which is looking to be a bi-yearly release schedule) and it took me 2.5 hours of playing time to finish which I guess is normal for a episodic adventure game. The game takes place in 1994, and there's so many references and jokes about the 90s and it's pretty funny overall. All around very enjoyable, fun, good laughs, nothing too hard, good atmosphere and interesting soundtrack. The game seems to do everything pretty well, looking forward to finishing the next acts!

Linking When you mention an album, artist, film, game, label, etc - it's recommended to link to the item the first time you mention it. Doing so will make it easier to search for your post and give it more visibility. To link an item, use the search box above, or find the shortcut that appears on the page that you want to link. this game has such an insane amount of dialogue, i had to stop myself from mixing every item with literally every single thing in the environment partway through because literally All the dialogue is unique
i'm late as hell to this because i just recently decided to get around to actually finishing homestuck, so i was wondering if this current 3.10 a reasonable score for it or is it just people being mad because homestuck bad? should i check it out after i finish homestuck or is it not worth it
ok uhhh i finished homestuck and im reading the epilogues and wow i get why the hype died this is not at all where i thought homestuck would have ended up when i was in the fandom 12 years ago :-/ ok then
at some point this game was on ea play and i downloaded it before it was removed, turns out the ea app doesnt delete games whenever theyre no longer on the service so now i just have an unplayable version of this game
