I should hate this game at least a little bit for the amount of trial-and-error gameplay, uneven difficulty level, and the bizarre checkpoint system that often ends up putting you in a worse situation than you were before you died - but I can't, exploring the environment and figuring out each mission step by step is just too much fun.
The game is definitely dated and unpolished but you can already see the potential with kino missions such as Traditions of the Trade and Lee Hong Assassination. The Colombia missions definitely suck though. Also the soundtrack is top notch.
This game feels like a VHS rent era homage with a hodgepodge of some of the most ridiculous 90s B movie ideas complemented by a slick ending. Can't really hate all the junk, because it's started one of the most unique game series to this day.
Also the soundtrack is top notch.
