Story mode is very fun but to even play it you have to deal with the Rockstar Launcher which requires you to be connected to their (often offline) servers to earn achievements (I purchased this game through Steam, no clue why Rockstar servers need to verify the achievement before Steam lets me have it) or sometimes to even play the offline game at all.

The online portion of the game is really fun and great with friends if you manage to find a server away from the hackers, who are stupidly common in almost every server you enter (loading into a server takes forever too, to add insult to injury). If you just do private heists and games and such though, you will probably be fine.

rating is mostly for the story mode which i'd say is a very solid 8/10. very fun when you get into it. i am a sucker for open world games like this. oh and the radio stations are killer

    There’s just something poetic to me about the online component of this game being so successful when all of V is kind of dull.
    VI looks a lot more energetic, and I’m really curious to see how the speculation around VI will age.

    I remember how fun I used to have in this game, online and story mode but nowadays it just feels so bland. Literally theres like NOTHING to do. The story mode outside the main character dynamic and some side characters is not interesting, like ever. Online is just cancer, especially on pc. Car customization is enjoyable if you have millions of dollars which obviously is only possible if your a whale or literally spend all day on heists and shit.

    Was surprised when the game ended. I didn't feel like it really went anywhere with its plot, and all the major events just happened instead of feeling earned.
