    On the one hand, Jharkendar itself is extremely mediocre and the expansion does nothing but bad things for the balance of the original Gothic 2 but on the other, Chapter 2 and onward is enriched with even more variety and countless new options.

    Can't bring myself to hate this but it's clearly not on the same level as the vanilla game.

      Personally I don't find Jharkendar mediocre, it has a few great quests etc. The problem is it kills the basically perfect pacing of the base game.

    Strongly disagree. I think this is up there with Mask of the Betrayer as one of the greatest RPG expansions of all time, especially if you liked Gothic 1.

    mustve been on crack writing that comment, expansion turns the game into a collectathon if you want to level properly. i like the new content (claw of beliar turns the game into a cakewalk though), just hate what it did to levelling.
