A young boy named Gregory is trapped overnight in Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. With the help of Freddy Fazbear himself, Gregory must survive the near-unstoppable hunt of reimagined Five Nights at Freddy's characters, along with other mysteries buried deep within the Pizzaplex.
An incredibly flawed game that I can't help but feel attached to.
I have a lot to say about this game.
FNAF: Security Breach is a very difficult game to talk about due to so many things being wrong with it. It's a game that when I initially started playing it I did not think I would give this a good score at all. I was criticising it a lot and making fun of it and, while I still do that now, I've definitely had a change of heard after finishing the game. From the getgo I set out to finish this entire game and get each ending, all 6 of them. I have since done that and feel I can truly convey my feelings towards this game.
This game is inherently not a very fun one. I did not really enjoy playing it from start to finish. There were some really cool moments but those only made me want more; they only made me think "I wish more of the game was like this" but I persevered. Why, you may ask? It was probably because this was a FNAF game, and I've always loved the series and uncovering all there is to see.
This is what leads me to my second major point. While this game isn't inherently fun to play and I could spend all day saying what I didn't enjoy about the game and how the game is incredibly buggy, it doesn't tell you where to go or what to do at times and how easily it is to get lost in this maze of an establishment, I don't want to. This game has so much heart put into it and it had and I suppose still has so much potential. Every aspect of this game from the writing, to the voice acting, to the designs of everything. You can tell that this game was made by people who love this franchise and wanted to do it justice. It was the characters and story that made me continue to play and that wasn't just due to it being a FNAF game. I absolutely adore Glamrock Freddy and his supportiveness throughout the game and there were points I felt genuinely heartbroken watching (I won't get into any spoilers here). There is so much love in this game and I can't fault it for that. I want to see more of this world, more of these characters; I want to see more of Glam Freddy, more of Vanessa, more of Vanny. I'm fascinated by them all even if the game itself wasn't all that fun to play. From a story aspect this game is pretty competent and I really, really enjoyed watching it unravel, especially having done my best to avoid all spoilers so every turn was a surprise.
FNAF: Security Breach is a game that is difficult to recommend in any form as I don't really recommend playing through it as it can be a complete slog and can be incredibly annoying and tedious and just outright not fun getting to the point I dreaded to play it, but I also don't really recommend watching someone else play it as it spoils that feeling of experiencing it all firsthand; seeing it unfold before your own eyes and feeling truly connected to these characters because you're the one controlling them. So do as you will with this game; if you want to play through it I would recommend using a guide or walkthrough of sorts as the game really does tell you nothing, or you can watch someone else play through the game.

This is an awful, broken mess of a video game. By all means, it is an objectively bad game, and yet I love it. It's cheesy and charming in all the right ways, with an absurd amount of cute art of the main cast plastered absolutely everywhere. Speaking of which, the character design is phenomenal, I adore the Security Breach cast. That, along with the music, atmosphere, and visual design contribute to a really appealing aesthetic and atmosphere. The architecture feels somewhere between a mall I would've gone to in my childhood, and a Main Event. Somehow, all the clunky and annoying glitches just remind me of how clunky and flawed the real life places that inspired the Pizzaplex are, in just the right ways. This obviously isn't intentional, but I don't think I would have it any other way. oh and yeah i grew up when fnaf was just starting, and im a furry, so im not gonna pretend that doesnt affect my opinion lmfao
