Title
Mindmaster is... really weird. You are solving a maze from the first-person perspective, and you need to find the exit. Really simple.

The maze itself is a series of halways seperated with doors, and in every level there is one major hallway with an alien stalker that is chasing you and will kill you. You can hide in adjacent rooms for a breather, but it's also your main focus of the maze because in there you will find pegs(essentially keycards) that are used to place in holes scattered through the entire map. Once you place all the keys where they belong, the door to the exit will be unlocked, and you can progress to the next level.

On most levels you can find some sort of minigame that jumps shift into an entirely different genre(including Lunar Lander and Simon Says simulators), and you can find other obstacles such as laser beams, but mainly the objective of beating the six levels is less on passing through, but doing it in a record time frame. Beating the game in the shortest amount of time yields the most points, and beating the minigames also brings you bonus stuff, which is all accounted for in the game over screen, whether you beat the game or not.

Mindmaster has an eerie Myst-like quality, but after beating the first two levels, you'll see where the game in general seems to be going and has very few to offer, just being a tired treasure hunting game.

Every time I thought the game hit me with some bullshit I realized there was a mechanic to help you through no matter what. Very clever little game for the time.
