Title
There's mild potential here in the vehicle handling and aesthetic, but Driver takes itself too seriously, the difficulty manifesting in a stupid gatekeeping training session and tedious gameplay.

Had a learning curve for sure, handling old cars was fun, hard, realistic with a kind of a detective noir story. Playstation 1 essential!

      If you mean the parking garage, that's not the first mission, just a slightly challenging tutorial making sure you know how to use the buttons...

    As influential as it definitely was, there are some parts of the game which are too annoying. The multipart missions can be a bitch if you've added up enough damage to beat the later stages. Also, the cops are ridiculously aggressive on some of the later levels.
    Still managed to beat it with a few minor frustrations. The last mission is great.
