Title
Driver 2 dials up the cinematic presentation and detail, but it's wasted on the same sadistically-difficult gameplay as its predecessor. Missions are thoughtless and arcade-like, having you travel between two points or tail a car within a tight timeframe. Freedom and enjoyment is almost non-existent when clipping a tiny object or being cut off by an NPC driver results in mission failure. It's tough to care about the game's story and characters after replaying the same infuriating mini-game over and over.

    fond memories of playing this game with my dad when i was a kid. incessantly ramming into him in multiplayer was such a blast. so i do have a soft spot for this one, even though i recognise it's not that great of a game.
