Holds up surprisingly well, imo. At least well enough that I can completely see why it was such a hit at the time. My biggest gripe is that visibility is really rough at points, since you need to be WAY too close to the edge of the screen in order to scroll ahead. Gameplay is obviously pretty simplistic (despite a surprising number of moves available) but it's also a short enough game that it never really started to bug me. Not likely to boot it up just to play it for fun in the future, but I'd say it's more than worth at least one look.
I feel like several of these ports should have their own pages. had no idea there were so many and that a good amount of 'em looked so different from one another
Advance has some real in depth moves and combo system surprisingly! But its so unforgiving with its death traps and pits. Enemies are so repetitive that the jokes of multiple Abobos got old real fast. At least the modern ports is less than $10
