Deus Ex

I thought people calling it "the greatest game of all time" were exaggerating, but this really is probably the best game ever made

I like the ideias but it's really, really dated. Specially the combat

I can't get into this game, tried like 4 times but it's just too dated gameplay-wise. The furthest I got was the 3rd level. It doesn't help that this game is really ugly, which obviously is understandable considering that it's a 20+ year old game, but somehow System Shock 2 for example looks much better so I'd blame it mostly on art direction and colour palette.

i'm only two missions deep and this is shaping up to have some of the best political worldbuilding i've seen in cyberpunk if the little books and news report things you can read are any indication. i see a lot of eden: it's an endless world parallels which is my other benchmark for peak cyberpunk worldbuilding, i wonder if the creators read it

This game runs like absolute dogshit. Even with mods. Thief 1 runs significantly better. Still this game has best level design of any game ive ever played so makes up for it. 4.5/5

Watching and stop watching in sniper rifle aim on different buttons are out of this world. 4.5/5
