On the regular difficulty, it's a fine slice of zombie carnage with a better weapon crafting system and a more fluid open world leading to a greater sense of cohesion among the chaos, and a physics and camera system finally getting to the point of satisfaction. Turn on Nightmare Mode, however, and you have a truly tense never-ending race against the clock where the perfect run requires perfect planning, every step matters and every loose zombie that grabs a hold of you is a serious drain. It's a top-notch challenge that finally justifies the presence of the clock. The story is also worth mentioning, with some good plot twists that hark back back to older games and a generally serious presentation alongside some bonkers inclusions. Pretty great stuff overall if you can stomach some technical inadequacies, which you should be able to by this point.

I do like this game, I played it on an Xbox Series X with the quick resume feature, but I would not recommend using it, as it glitches out the stats of the game and Achievements, so be sure to always close the game after finishing a game session or play it on an Xbox One, as it has no features like FPS boost, etc.
Dead Rising 3 wants to be a fun and engaging Zombie game, with some Story and an Open world, I like this concept and the game does well, it could be better, but all in all, I think the game is, what it wants to be, now I can't say anything about if this is an improvement of previous games, as this was my first dead rising game, but I might look into dead rising 1 and 2.
The game's gameplay is simple, u have different weapons u can find, mostly close combat but also some firearms, and use these to kill zombies, do side missions, and do challenges. This game has a lot of things you can do, the weapon system is very engaging, and u can craft different weapons that do different things, like a teddy that shoots automatically or a rifle that shoots in 4directions at the same time, you can also build different vehicles, my favorite is probably the party slapper, it looks like out of a Horror movie and also feels that way, I love it. It's also pretty impressive how many zombies there are on your screen at the same time. With that comes, the more you kill, u get a kill streak, more PP, and special moves u can do.
the Story is nothing too special, it's alright if you want to follow some story, but u can also just skip all the cutscenes and ignore it, without destroying anything. The game also has side missions, but all of them are just kinda boring, it's usually collect some items, escort someone, or kill zombies and bad guys. But u do get some unique side missions and survivors with which you can explore and kill zombies, you have to keep them alive (with food) or get them to a safe zone, if you want to store them, which is not explained by the game just had to kinda figure it out, or look in the survival guide (i don't think anybody does that)
The concept of a Bomb that will destroy the whole city in some hours, and having limited but enough time for side missions, is cool and unique.
u can also kinda compare this game with dead island, it's the same just not First person and without the RPG aspect, even tho this game has some as well, you have a level system, and you can level up with attribute points and get some things, like more inventory or more life.
The open world is alright, there are a lot of things you can do, to earn PP with which you level up and gain Attribute points, there are challenges (kill some zombies with some weapons), blueprints for more combos, statues you can collect, and propaganda speakers you can destroy. Now the open world tries to make you use different ways to navigate and some parts of the city just get locked up, it's a cheap way to make you explore more, or use foot, and I think it kinda ruins the fun of the game.
Generally speaking even tho the game is fun, all you do is basically do some tasks with killing zombies and some bad guys, its nothing too special, and sure there are boss fights which make this a bit more interesting, but the fighting system isn't really all that complex to really make something out of this, you can hit and dodge.
it's a fun game,but not special.
DLC review:
I don't want to review every single one of them, so I just gonna add this extra section for this review, the DLCs are not good, and I wouldn't recommend buying them.
First of all, these just give u like 2hrs of content per episode, and there are 4 episodes, they want to elaborate the story more and give more content, but fail. The First episode is about a Spec Ops commander, the Second about an Illegal Survivor, the third about a Gang leader, and the last about a ZDC Agent. It's interesting to see, how some things happened between, before and after nicks story, but yeah that's it.
the stories of these are basic, the only one I kinda enjoyed is the gang leaders.
The side missions are utterly bad, it's just Collect something all over the map, the worst was the gang Leader in which you just collect like 10Motorcylces around the map, and the open world in these DLC has even more roadblocks and locked areas, so you have to drive about 5minutes just to get one of them. And it doesn't matter in which timeline you play this DLC the map (except for the roadblocks) does not change at all, and it's just the same map over and over again, with DLC I want more to explore or an entirely new map.
They also have some new things to collect, and destroy, but really, who cares, at this point, we've seen this open world map enough.
They do bring in more weapons and vehicles, which are great, but that's it.
I do not recommend them I would give them all a 3/10.

another co op dead rising, this one is completely dumbed down and standardized to the industry. the new engine introduces some nice features but feels a lot worse as a game. main downfall is its basically GTA with zombies and its completely unfun to drive vehicles. the missions and story is completely unmemorable, the biggest saving grace is the co-op, all of the mechanics feel worse than 1-2, the only real improvement is more zombies on screen.
5/10
