Title
The utmost flaw of this game is that it is way too much about fighting and this is a CRITICAL flaw because it's hard or impossible to discern immense beauty of their world while you do slasher all the time. No, I mean you really have a rush of a cocaine after defeating Ornstein & Smough with 100th time, BUT going through the map 100 times to do that, makes you like nervous, no time to look around, try on your dresses... Probably a misfortune of all great games made for "men"

      Blighttown's level design would be a masterpiece... In a different game. I love its atmosphere, but it suffers from being a level partially built around platforming stuck in a game engine where platforming is straight up bad. Even some of the enemies can't handle it, dying to gravity when simply trying to reach you. And I will forever hate that elevator to Drake Valley.

    Imma lay out a big ol' secret for you all: the second half of the game is actually still pretty fucking good. I can still remember beating the game for the first time and being stunned to see how much people hated the last like 10-15 hours. Bed of Chaos is the only real stinker.

    realistically this has too many flaws to be considered the best game ever, but so does bloodborne. honestly the one fromsoft game i'd submit to "best game ever" is elden ring no cap

      The best game it isnt, but one of the best? Certainly is, but that applies most soulslike fromsoft games. It is insane how greatly fromsoft can make very high quality games. But i wouldnt object if anyone find DS the greatest, i love it.

    awfully tedious with quite a few lazily designed bosses, levels, and enemies

    but its still so much fun. its great. all that tedium adds a lot to the experience, and its an amazing journey
