The limited build design of Bloodborne without the features that made Bloodborne great as a narrower experience. The hideous gnarly monsters and locations of Bloodborne without the appealing colour palettes and cohesive direction of Bloodborne. I'm pretty sure this ends up being more linear than Bloodborne, or damn close. And it's got a less interesting use of the iconography from the first game. Definitely the worst of the trilogy by a good margin, it is utterly uninspiring to try and replay
Went ahead and did it and yup, opening is still a slog. Gundyr is easy as piss, Vordt is easy as piss but annoying because of the camera, Greatwood is omega lame, Crystal Sage is easy as piss, Deacons are more or less easy as piss but super fucking annoying if you don't have high damage and/or broad attacks. The first like 5-7 hours offer zero fun bosses, I just don't understand why they'd let such a big chunk of the game skirt along on such weak fights.
And the environments are still as stale as I remember them being. At least the game runs better than it used to.
and the ones that are hard provides such great fights
