Another one of those early N64 games which made its way onto the console for no reason other than to cash in. Perhaps decent in the arcades, Cruis'n USA looks like ass in comparison, downgraded, somehow looking like a 2D and 3D hybrid and handling like an 8-bit racer, complete with unnecessary quarter-eating arcade features such as time limits between checkpoints. Crashes are scripted and jarring and whilst the music can be cycled with the B button it's equivalent to cycling through aural garbage.

I find Coldvein's review funny because at the time of this game's release magazines praised the N64 port for being "as good as the arcades" I'm not saying Cold is wrong, I wouldn't be impressed by that much either coming back to this, but back then it blew my mind.
