This should be talked about more, this has to be (one of) the finest old gen action games period. It's insane how well the visuals and the music hold up, it feels like a movie director has helped making this game because there's one badass, unique action sequence after the next one and it plays insanely well. The Snes might have won with Super Castlevania 4, but the Genesis just dumps on Alien Wars with this title

I don't think I've seen any other game make this extensive and inventive use of sprite manipulations (scaling, distorting, rotating, etc.) to animate. It's kinda mind-blowing. I can't say enough good things about this game.
