Title
Scores points for originality, given most of the fighters released on the N64 to this point were Mortal Kombat clones, and for being pretty funny, thanks in large part to the zany sound and voice acting.

Otherwise, ClayFighter is a disappointingly barebones game. It actually feels like it was made to be rented, not bought. It's only got one short arcade-style game mode, your only reward for completing it a couple of sentences on-screen about the character you used, followed by, oddly, a game over screen. The game doesn't save anything, with or without a Controller Pak, probably because there's no content to save. Whilst characters have moves and combos they can pull off, these don't appear to be listed anywhere, so gameplay descends into mindless button-mashing. It is, at least, more playable than the likes of Dark Rift and War Gods.

    Deserves 0.5 just for Kung Pow and Houngan alone. Only nine characters on the roster by default and two of them are animated hate crimes. Like straight up 1940s cartoon levels of racist.
