A more 8/10 game has never been made. About as good as a game can be without having the "X factor", consistently enjoyed it, can't bring myself to say I loved it.
The further I got in this game the more fond of it I grew. It's so true the setting and the story of this game are so basic it's kinda funny, but the gameplay is so incredible it makes up for it. Especially towards the end when you get to tinker with the jobs for real it really shines.
this is one of those games that was underwhelming but somewhere along the way i realized i was having a ton of fun. even random encounters felt challenging, and in order to get through it you have to find a party combination that feels like you're breaking the game, of which there are many. the story and characters don't have nearly as much soul as the original though.
