Title
The time waster that led to an entire sub-genre of cheap rip-offs, here we have the original connect four in gaming that has a simple yet effective formula of adding power ups to the real-life game to make it much more than a simulator. I will admit that the likes of candy crush and those other terrible Facebook games has left a sour taste in my mouth here, however there's no denying that this is a decent distraction from your day-to-day life if you feel that hard-core gaming is too challenging for you.

Dull and boring
It was the first game to really popularized the 3 match puzzle, but thats about it. Candy Crush has a much slicker presentation and that adds up to more satisfying gameplay. Bejewled ends up feeling just too basic and dull to be enjoyable for more than 10 minutes. I get the appeal and charm of the game, but if it was released today it wouldnt half one tenth of the success it did.

Even in isolation its a weak experience. There is a very small skill ceiling, and the way to reach top scores ends up being more due to luck than anything else. It fails as a puzzle game and as an arcadey game.
