I uhh... I mean, it's chess...

I like playing this more as a tech demo of what computer graphics could achieve at the time, because the battle animations for the chess pieces are beautiful to look at and very complex. The computer AI is also surprisingly smart, but if you put him on higher levels, it increasingly takes more and more time to compute a move because he is thinking of the best logical moves for several turns in advance, resulting in games where one of his turns could process for 30 minutes to whole hours. Not cool.

Thankfuly though, there is a local two-player option to play with a friend.
