This game rocks, but yeah, bullet visibility is a real issue. Combined with a ton of BS sniper enemies that shoot at you the millisecond they appear from the side of the screen, it's really easy to die in ways that feel infuriatingly random. Also, the stage 4 boss is one of the most frustrating I've encountered in the genre, if you're not using the Type B ship.
That said, it really never gets old. The music is awesome, the XP system is nice, and the overall presentation is just outstanding -- the progression of stage settings is really cool, and the graphics and colors are just beautiful. It's a staple in the genre, and as arguably the first bullet hell game, really shouldn't be missed for fans of the genre.
