I prefer 'Asylum' because of how streamlined it is by comparison, how there's hardly any fat to the experience apart from the Scarecrow nightmare toxin bits. There's more to do in 'City' but most of it's busy work that stops being engaging after a few hours - a problem that persists thru the rest of the series.
I still prefer city but as much as it has become a meme this definitely has the best atmosphere of the 4 games. Mainly due to the horror elements in the game most prominently the Scarecrow encounters and Killer Croc's lair. It's a shame they abandoned this for the next 3 games even when Scarecrow was the main antagonist of the 4th game.
why are there people that prefer men over women romantically and sexually? does that answer your question mr undertale in 4.5 and celeste in 5.0 ratings head ass mf LOL
Pretty good time, and I love every single little detail of the presentation, which really holds up. And alot of the general traversal is super satisfying. But normal hand to hand combat fucking stinks, its so repetitive, and the quality of bossfights takes a pretty steep dive in the last leg. Killer croc and Joker especially are major bummers.
Unfortunately it's not fully my type of game, but you can tell it was made with love. One thing that holds it back is the fact that detective mode isn't implemented well IMO. There's basically no reason to turn it off at anytime, having it on basically gives you a free advantage in enemy position and spotting interactable objects. But it also gives you a stupid green filter on the screen, obscuring the beautiful scenery and lighting that's ever present in the game. "Just turn off detective mode" works, but is a band aid solution. In what world should you have to pick between player advantage and good graphics?
doing the challenges was a bit frustrating since Batman feels worse to control here
