This dlc should've been bundled with Assassin's Creed II: Battle of Forlì as both of them seem incomplete without the other given how they both fill in the twenty-year gap of when Ezio retrieved the apple from Venice before heading to Rome. Here were finally able to explore that part of Florence that was unavailable to us in the main campaign which introduces a new jump mechanic that the franchise would come to overuse in later instalments. It's a side story that only exists to incorporate the book burnings that took place in the early 1500s, but the way they work our hero into this event does feel satisfying even if it feels pointless to the overall story, hence why it was cut from the main game.
