W-why are there zombies with guns in this game? Why are the red xenomorphs dancing awkwardly? Why so many bat-like flying creatures? And why is Ripley's hair blond?
I do think Konami did a better job when they were shamelessly cribbing Alien concepts for Contra rather than making an actual licensed game based on the IP, but this is still a fun time. No real depth to the gameplay, but the enemy deaths are satisfying, the gameplay gets mixed up pretty frequently, and the bosses are grotesque and fun to look at. The best part was probably the second segment with the motion detector, since it did a good job dividing your attention between the main screen and the radar to keep track of all the threats.
So many questions...
