Oh no! It's a dinosaur! Ruuuun!

People like to label 3D Monster Maze the first survival horror, which, if you fear jump scares, works as an apt description. It is scarcely an original title though, as it pulls bearings from the likes of 1974's Maze War, and 1980's Hunt the Wumpus. You are trapped in a maze with a hungry T-Rex chasing you(and providing fearful imagery of its gnawing teeth), where the only goal is to find an exit. If you're being careful, you can manipulate the T-Rex's walking patterns as he would just stand in place for most of the time(when you're far away at least), and this gives you the opportunity to carefully map the 16x16 grid in search for the exit. Otherwise, 3D Monster Maze offers nothing inspirational or revalatory.
