20 Minutes Till Dawn is the hot new bullet heaven game that just saw its 1.0 launch after a period in early acess. Its got a lot of things going for it, namely I enjoy a lot its minimalistic and smooth animations, the difficulty curve and the ability to choose a starter weapon.
The game is truely enjoyable for a couple of hours, particularly since it feel like the powers available offer a much higher degree of synergy when compared to Vampire Survivors. With some simple planning and knowledge of the passives available in the game its very easy to create true murder machines by the halfway mark.
There is some meta progression but you very quickly get the perks you want after beating the game a couple of tries. The descriptions of the characters are readily available before buying them, so you wont get anything you dont want to try.
Unfortunatly the game is really bare in terms of content. There are only 3 maps and they play pretty similar to each other, the enemy variety is also quite small, as well the pool of passive upgrades. Characters dont differ that much from each other, you can build them all in the same way, and unfortunatly that can mean that the end of the game is very similar from run to run. The ability to choose different starting weapons gives it a bit of replayability, but not nearly enough of what is asked from this genre.
There is a great foundation in here, just needs more content, which I hope will be delivered in future DLCs.

for a game that is now "fully released" this game lacks ANY amount of content if this was free then MAYBE it would be worth my time but paying any amount of money feels like I'm being scammed
