Founded in 1943 as a pinball and arcade amusements company, Williams entered the video game business in 1973 with a Pong clone called Paddle Ball. Under the Williams name, many games now considered classics have been published, including Robotron: 2084, Defender, Joust, Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam.
