Ubisoft Tiwak
Game company
Tiwak was a Montpellier-based company founded in 2000. The company was founded by former Rayman 2: The Great Escape developers who developed Tork: Prehistoric Punk with the intention to publish with Microsoft Studios. After Ed Fries' departure from the company, Microsoft dropped the company but maintained ownership of the trademark rights to Tork. The company and Tork's publishing rights were acquired by Ubisoft in 2004 and consolidated with Ubisoft Pictures. The company was formally merged with other Montpellier-based Ubisoft studios in 2011 to form Ubisoft Montpellier.
