Prodigy was an online service where customers with modems would use Prodigy's custom client software to dial into the Prodigy servers which created a dynamic graphic interface for the user. Client software was available on the DOS, Windows and Macintosh platforms.
By 1996, Prodigy began to pivot into becoming an Internet Service Provider and in 1999 closed down the "Prodigy Classic" service.
