Games by Apollo

Games by Apollo was founded to develop games for the Atari VCS and was modeled to emulate Activision's success as the first major third party software company for consoles. Unable to expand the business to other consoles, and facing declining sales as the North American video game market crashed in 1983, Apollo closed its door that same year. In the fallout, developers from Apollo went on to found other companies such as MicroGraphicImage and VSS.
