Creature Labs, then called Cyberlife Technology was originally set up by as a subsidiary of Millennium Interactive for Steve Grand and his team to work solely on the game Creatures as well as related Artificial Intelligence Technology.
After Millennium was bought up by Sony, the company would continue as an independent company and renamed themselves to Creature Labs
On January 12th 2000, they announced that they had restructured and renamed themselves Creature Labs.
