Ascaron was a German developer known for its football management and business simulation games as well as the Sacred franchise. It filed for bankruptcy in 2009, citing delays and excessive development costs for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. Most of their IPs were bought by Kalypso Media, except for Sacred, which went to Deep Silver.
