The Hardy Boys

The Hardy Boys is a youth mystery-solving franchise starring brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. The franchise first began with the short novel The Tower Treasure in 1927 written by Leslie McFarlane writing under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon, a pseudonym which was carried forward by all authors of Hardy Boys novels. Dreamcatcher Interactive released a handful of computer games based on the series in the late 2000s, and in 2020 a television show premiered on Hulu starring the adventures written by Edward Stratemeyer. Nancy Drew is frequently involved in crossover media, bearing similar themes.
