Playmobil - picture
Playmobil is a German line of plastic toys produced by Geobra Brandstätter since 1974, most recognized by the trademark human figurine's smiling face. The toys were invented by cabinetmaker and hobbyist Hans Beck who pitched the product Brandstätter in 1971. The company requested that the product be developed to appeal to children, and three years later the toys were sold on the market. The brand has since achieved international appeal, with a line of video games produced under the brand name 'Playmobil Interactive'.
