Game & Watch is a line of handheld LCD games created in the 1980s by
Nintendo. With the decline in popularity of LCD games, the brand has since expanded from LCD games into software recreations of its properties, though LCD models have occasionally been reissued. Beginning in 2020, LED display versions of the Game & Watch were produced to celebrate the anniversaries of
Super Mario Bros. [スーパーマリオブラザーズ] and
The Legend of Zelda [ゼルダの伝説] as dedicated console compilations.
Representing the many LCD games produced for the Game & Watch handhelds,
Mr. Game & Watch [Mr.ゲーム&ウォッチ] stars as a mascot for the franchise in
Super Smash Bros. [大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズ].
