Storywise, it's a perfect bridge between Y6 + 7. RGG's writing keeps improving with every game, even after so many entries by now. Combat balance feels awesome, maybe one of the best in the series in that regard. Though it does verge on a little too easy at times, even on highest difficulty.

Very grindy, worst map of the series, and hack/slash is not RGG's forte. Really good story though, and I would play Kenzan if it were ever ported too.

The story and dialogue are utter shite, but the world is a lot of fun to explore compared to TR 2013, and gameplay feels more like "classic" TR. Geothermal Valley specifically is a total vibe, and I just wanna run/jump around and chill in that map for hours.
