The Thing

A Marvel hero and one of the main members of the Fantastic Four. The four members of the group gained their powers when during a spaceflight experiment they were bombarded with cosmic rays.

Ben Grimm has the power of super strength and rocklike hardened skin that is like armor. Being stuck with this skin is as much of a curse as it is a blessing and Ben is often depicted as having a harder life in the comics due to being stuck looking monstrous as a result of the accident that gave them all their powers. He is the best friend of fellow Fantastic Four member Mister Fantastic. He is the husband of Alicia Masters.
